Campervan Visits
Recognising the ever-increasing number of visitors arriving in campervans, the museum can now offer a free of charge unsupported parking space for a limited number of campervans in the museum grounds (during the open season, April to October). This offer is for a maximum of one night’s stay and is only available to visitors who are booked in to visit the museum on the day of arrival or the following day before 4pm.
Once booked in campervans must arrive at the museum before 4pm and report to museum reception on arrival. You will then be allowed to stay inside the secure museum grounds overnight free of charge. The museum currently has no camping facilities so campervans must be fully self-contained, but the grounds are quiet, secure and close to local shops and eateries.
Please note:
· All BBQ’s, fires etc. are forbidden
· All dogs must be kept on a leash wherever possible
· All campervans must park in the allocated spaces provided
· Spaces are not available on event weekends. Please check out the events page for these dates.
